The AA Dealer Promise is a commitment by participating dealers to meet a set of customer service standards, including providing a minimum 6-month MOT, giving a history check (HPI), allowing independent inspections, and preparing the vehicle in good condition.

The AA also offers mediation between a customer and dealer if an issue arises after a purchase.

Key commitments of the AA Dealer Promise are;

Vehicle standards:
- A minimum of 6 months MOT on all vehicles.
- A road test is offered for any vehicle.
- All vehicles are prepared and handed over in good condition.

Documentation:
- Provide all essential documents, including the V5 registration document, MOT certificate, and service records.
- Offer a HPI history check on every vehicle.

Transparency and inspection:
- Welcome any vehicle inspection by you or an independent third party before purchase.

After-sales support:
- Mediate between the customer and dealer if an issue arises.
- Hold dealers accountable to the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Auditing:
- Dealerships are audited annually by the AA to ensure compliance with the promise.
